Answers to the most common questions.

The music stopped and I see “Connection lost”

The extension reconnects by itself for about 45 seconds and then stops. Check your internet and press “Retry”.

The sound keeps cutting out

The connection is usually too slow. Turn off HD with the button in the popup or the H key: the station switches to 128 kbps. The default quality is in Settings.

Will the music keep playing if I close the window?

Yes. You can close the popup and the music plays on in the background. To stop it, open the extension again or press the Play/Pause media key.

How do I play it on a speaker or TV?

Press the Cast button at the top of the popup and choose a device. Cast works in Chrome and Edge, not in Firefox. If no devices appear, check that they are on the same Wi-Fi network, and on macOS allow the browser to access the local network. While casting, the equalizer is off and the device shows the station name, not the track.

Where are my favourites stored?

Only in this browser: they do not sync between devices and are gone once the extension is removed. To keep the list, press “Copy list” in Favourites and paste it wherever you like. Favourites hold up to 500 tracks.

What keyboard shortcuts are there?

With the popup open: Space plays and pauses, M mutes, H toggles HD, E opens the equalizer, S searches for the track, L adds it to favourites, 1–5 pick a station, Esc closes. The Play/Pause media key also works with the popup closed; in Firefox, while its window is active.

Why do I see the station name instead of the track?

Sometimes the station sends its own name instead of a track, or the track data is briefly unavailable. The heart and search are inactive then, and the track appears as soon as the station sends it.

Is this an official KISS FM extension?

No, it is unofficial. KISS FM and Radio Bayraktar are trademarks of their respective owners. For questions about the programme and music, contact the stations; for the extension, contact us.

Does the extension collect my data?

No. Settings and favourites stay in your browser, and nothing reaches the developer. The details are under “Privacy”, linked at the bottom of the page.
